How we select topics, explain tradeoffs, review claims and handle corrections.

Reader-first questions

We plan each guide around a real reader question and the decision that follows it. A useful article clarifies terms, identifies costs, explains uncertainty and gives the reader a next step. Word count alone does not make a guide reliable.

Sources and verification

We distinguish broad financial concepts from time-sensitive claims. Rates, product terms, regulations and provider features should be checked against current primary disclosures before being stated as fact. Where a live rate or ranking cannot be responsibly verified, we describe evaluation criteria instead of inventing a winner.

Examples and arithmetic

Hypothetical illustrations are labeled as examples. Calculations should state assumptions so readers can adjust them. We do not present modeled results as promises or represent made-up offers as current market products.

Writing and review

The editorial team prepares guides for clarity, relevance and internal consistency. Articles are reviewed for broken links, misleading claims, duplicate passages, accessibility and useful headings before publishing. A date indicates when a page was last reviewed, not when every third-party term was independently audited.

Corrections

Material factual errors should be corrected in the article. Readers can send the title, the passage and a short explanation using our contact details. We give priority to errors that could change a financial decision.

Commercial separation

Advertising should be visibly distinct from editorial content. Compensation must not silently determine the guidance. Any future affiliate relationships or sponsorships should be disclosed close to affected content and reflected in the privacy information where appropriate.

Limits

We do not claim that our editorial team is a licensed advisory practice. No guide can account for a reader’s full circumstances. Important decisions deserve current written terms and, where appropriate, individualized professional guidance.
